Wania Saif – Founder/President

Hi, I’m Wania Saif. I am a Senior at American Heritage. I am enrolled in the Pre-med track and research. These are two of my greatest passions. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering and baking.

Fishing for a better solution was a project founded on my research, creating more sustainable fishing gear. My research showed that the fishing industry has a direct impact on our health and that we must actively conserve our oceans.

Ken Liu – Vice President

Hello! I’m Ken, an alum of American Heritage Palm Beach. I am currently in engineering and have done environmental engineering research in the past. The purpose of Fishing For A Better Solution really resonated with me, and I decided to contribute. Living in South Florida and spending time with the community has really inspired me to do more through this project!

Tony Luo – Vice President

Hi, I’m Tony. I am an alum of American Heritage School in Palm Beach and plan to study computer science in my future career. I am passionate about using my skills in computer science to help people in need. I’ve had multiple projects related to this already. I joined fishing for a better solution to continue this goal, to give back to the community. I would like to use my skills to make the world a better place.

Preston Osagie – Volunteer

I’m Preston Osagie! I’m a junior (Class of 2027) at American Heritage Academy, where I’m pursuing my passions in pre-engineering and computer science. When I’m not coding or working with electronics, I’m active in student leadership as the President of WorldQuest, Vice President of Model UN, and a member of SECME and NFHS.

Audrey Li – Volunteer

My name is Audrey Li, an alum of American Heritage Schools. I currently study engineering and am devoted to making a difference in society. Fishing for a Better Solution has taught me how important it is to protect our oceans because they have a direct impact on our health.
